One more try.

Ok, so I haven't been so good at doing anything with this blog. That is ok. Here I am, trying again. So without any excuse making, I give you, Snobby Bacon Pizza.
Recipe:
Ingredients
Pizza Dough (I made mine fresh)
Pizza Sauce (I made mine fresh)
1/4 cup chopped fresh spinach
2 slices Bacon
1/4 cup chopped tomato
3 Tbsp. chopped onion
1/8 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/8 cup shredded smoked gouda cheese
2 Tbsp. finely shredded parmasan cheese
Pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. Take your pizza dough and gently work in the chopped spinach. Set aside. Cut your bacon into thin strips the short way and crisp fry it (for easier slicing, freeze bacon for 10 min). Drain on paper towel and set aside. Spray or rub olive oil lightly on your baking sheet or stone. Roll out your pizza dough to about 1/4 in. thick and about 10 in. in diameter. Place on baking sheet or stone. Spread about 1/4 cup sauce on the dough, all the way to the edges. Put the tomatoes on the pizza, distribute evenly. Mix the cheddar and the gouda together. Sprinkle 2/3 of the mixed cheese on pizza. Add bacon and onions. Sprinkle on the rest of the mixed cheese. Sprinkle the parmesan cheese on top.
Bake pizza for 4 min. at 350 degrees, the change to the broiler setting and broil pizza for 2-4 min. until the cheese is starting to brown and is bubbly. Remove from oven and let set for 3-4 minutes (this step is important). Cut pizza into 4 slices before removing from baking sheet. Serve immediately.

In the beginning

This blog is a cooking/foody blog. I am a self proclaimed food snob. And I believe there is a better way to enjoy the normal foods that people commonly eat. Yum.

Today's recipe is a simple one that I enjoy as a snack or a light lunch. It is my own twist on a cheese sandwich.

First I start with good bread (I used fresh french bread today, but you can use your favorite bread). Then I spread my slices with a soft dessert cheese called Delice de Bourgogne (one of my favorite cheeses). Then in the middle I spread a good tablespoon of orange curd. Put sandwich together in traditional sandwich method. Enjoy.

This is so delicious. Oh yes.
